Position: Research Associate (Short Term Engagement-Contractual) -20 positions

Qualification: Master’s Degree in Education/B.Ed./M.Ed./ Ph.D. candidate in Education
Experience: Minimum 2-3 Years of Teaching/Educational Research
Duration: Three to Four weeks between November-December 2025
Engagement Overview:
Ei is looking for dynamic and enthusiastic individuals with prior experience in educational research to join as Research Associates for a qualitative evaluation project currently going on at Sandipani Vidyalaya (formerly called CM Rise Schools) in Madhya Pradesh.
As a Research Associate, the selected individual will be responsible for visiting sampled schools and engaging with headmasters, teachers, and students. Key responsibilities include conducting classroom and school observations, performing in-depth interviews, and conducting a review of school records and documents maintained by teachers and school leaders. The role also requires recording interviews where applicable, digitizing collected data for ease of access, and preparing detailed observation notes at the end of each day. Prior to the assignment, the Ei team will provide a five to six-days comprehensive training.
Selection Process:
Final Research Assistant positions will be confirmed at the completion of Ei’s training.
Candidate Requirements:
Preference for applicants with established ties to Madhya Pradesh. Availability: Only candidates capable of full commitment to complete the assignment within 3-4 weeks should submit applications.
Responsibilities:
● Visit to assigned government schools in the given district using public conveyance.
● Conduct descriptive classroom observation, in-depth interviews (IDI) and document analysis with head master, teachers, students and other stakeholders.
● Conduct focused group discussion (FGD) with teachers/students.
● Digitize classroom observations, IDI data, and field notes into the prescribed format to ensure easy access, faster analysis, and improved decision-making.
● Take photos (e.g. of documents and classrooms), and audio recordings of all interviews.
● Ensure 100% of the recordings, reports, documents are sent to Ei by the end of the day.
● Actively contribute to the daily reflection/ debrief call held by Ei.
● Ensure to meet 100% of the deadlines for project completion

Compensation:
Rs. 1800 per day (based on candidate’s experience). Food, travel, and accommodation expenses will be borne by Ei as per the company policy. Additionally, on the successful completion, RAs will receive a certification from Ei.
