About Foundation For Excellence (FFE)
Foundation For Excellence Inc. (FFE), a publicly supported charitable organization based in the USA, was established in 1994. Its Indian entity, Foundation For Excellence India Trust (FFE-IT) was registered in 2003 as a Public Charitable Trust in India.
FFE’s mission is to help economically underprivileged and academically bright students complete their higher education (Engineering and Medical) through its flagship merit-cum-means Scholarship Program. The objective is to help these students and their families transition from low to middle-income level in a single generation. FFE selects top-ranking students from national and state-level examinations for engineering, technology, and medicine, whose family incomes are unable to support higher education. FFE’s Beyond Scholarship Program provides skills training and mentoring to make these students career-ready by the time they finish their graduation.
About Alumni Relations at FFE
FFE’s unique, award-winning initiative of Alumni Relations is called The Circle of Giving. At the time of getting the scholarship, students take a soft pledge to help at least two students through FFE later in life when they are well situated.
At present, FFE has nearly 16,000 alumni in various parts of India and abroad. The Alumni Relations team manages engagements with the alumni to make The Circle of Giving bigger, more vibrant, and sustainable.
Roles & Responsibilities of Senior Executive – Alumni Relations
Alumni Relations Management
Fundraising
- Maximize donations from alumni (existing, dormant, and new) to meet targets related to total alumni donations and increase the number of alumni donors
- Effectively leverage Alumni to tap into corporate CSR programs and their networks
- Maximize alumni connect through various channels (tele-calling, emails, direct mail communication, social media, etc.)
- Establish, build, and maintain strong and productive relationships with FFE alumni donors
- Ensure appropriate levels of engagement with alumni donors and effective donor relations management
Database Management
- Maintain, update, and manage the alumni database on an ongoing basis for use by the organization
- Ensure accurate, current, and complete alumni database via surveys, email campaigns, phone, social media, etc.
Build and sustain Alumni Relations
- Implement strategies to enhance alumni involvement with FFE – mentoring current students, introducing corporate CSRs to FFE, helping current students with jobs and placement, other volunteering engagements, participation in FFE events, etc.
- Make efforts to establish contact with “lost” alumni
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for people who are passionate about making a positive impact at scale, and whose values align with FFE’s mission of bringing transformation through education. If you have the following attributes, we encourage you to apply at the earliest.
- Minimum undergraduate degree (in any field)
- Strong communication skills (written and spoken) in English and at least one Indian language
- Efficiency in using MS Office tools
- Previous experience in fundraising/donor management is preferred
- Based in Bengaluru or willing to relocate
- Willingness to learn and commitment to getting results (most important!)
What we offer

- Salary range – CTC Rs. 3.5 lacs to Rs. 5 lacs per annum (negotiable, depending on qualifications, relevant experience, and alignment with FFE’s requirements)
