About the Project
Skills and knowledge continue to be the driving forces of economic growth and social development. India, with its sizable workforce and evolving economic landscape, places a critical emphasis on skill development to sustain long-term growth. The Women Empowerment through Sustainable Skill Development Program in Kalol ,Gandhinagar district aims to equip 120 beneficiaries with vocational skills aligned to the new opportunities of the open economy. The project focuses on establishing a center in Kalol empowering women via targeted skill development training, facilitating certification, placement, and entrepreneurship development support, and tracking post-placement progress. This initiative aligns with the national vision of fostering a robust skilling ecosystem bridging education and employment for inclusive economic participation.
Position Summary:
The Project Manager will lead and manage the implementation of the skill development program for women in Bengaluru. This role requires oversight of program delivery, stakeholder coordination, monitoring and evaluation, and ensuring the achievement of program outcomes in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead planning, execution, and monitoring of the Women Empowerment skill development initiative.
Coordinate with trainers, field teams, partners, and local communities.
Manage training schedules, certification processes, and placement activities.
Oversee documentation, reporting, and compliance with stakeholder and organizational standards.
Facilitate capacity-building workshops and promote entrepreneurship opportunities for beneficiaries.
Maintain relationships with employers and institutions for job placement.
Prepare periodic program performance reports for management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree (MBA, MSW, MA) in Social Work, Development Studies, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in project management within women empowerment, skill development, or community development sectors.
Strong understanding of gender issues, skill development frameworks, and sustainable livelihoods.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in local languages and English.
Computer literacy including MS Office suite(Word,Excel,Power Point).
Contract Duration
The position is for a period of 8 months, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance.
Remuneration:
₹30,000 per month (fixed salary).
