Career Counsellor Full Time

Profile:

The position required experience of career counseling for students from age group 13-21. The candidate should possess experience in one-to-one career counseling sessions, conducting career workshops & developing career content.

Overall Responsibilities:

·         Plan, organize & conduct organize Career counselling Orientation with parents and children from 9th Grade to 12th Grade.

·         Plan, organize & conduct Career assessment test online and offline with children from 9th Grade to 12th Grade

·         Provide detail orientation, mentoring & handholding of online career assessment test to 9th Grade to 12th Grade children.

·         Ensure overall quality of implementation & reports to individual assessment process with children.

·         Analysis of overall and individual Assessment report include career report, aptitude scores, personality report, interest report & career recommendations report to prepare individual career plan of 9th grade to 12th Grade children.

·         Conduct 1 to 1 discussion of assessment report with children and parents to narrow down different career options, discussion on career pathway and resolve queries.

·         Provide 1 to 1 career counselling support to children to make them motivate and guide to move towards future career plan.

·         Plan, organize and conduct industrial exposure visits, career talks by experts, seminars for Children and Parents.

·         Prepared and develop Career guide information guide document for children on different streams, vocational courses and career pathways after 10th grade & 12th grade.

·         Assist students to understand their abilities, talents, interests, and personality characteristics in order to   develop realistic academic and career options.

·         Provide direction, encouragement, and motivation in order to prepare participants for assessments, exploration and creating a career action plan and portfolio. Adjust guidance techniques, based on the strengths and weaknesses of students

·         Compile studies, occupational, educational, and economic information about careers  Instruct students regarding educational issues such as course and program

·         To coordinate and schedule Career counselling program activities in consultation with the school authorities.

·         To engage with school teachers and headmasters and regularly update them on the project progress in the school.

·         To ensure smooth coordination and communication with regards to the career counselling development component of the project with the school authorities.

·         Plan & conduct regular home visit to understand the background of the children and also to identify reasons for not coming school and address the issue with help of school authorities

·         Home visit to complete CC orientation of children and parents, Career assessment, career guidance workshop and one to one counselling

·         Plan organize & conduct parents meeting to orient & explain the Career counselling program for seeking support & guidance to children in further education and career pathway.

·         Documentation – follow and submit different reporting process like Daily planning & reports, Weekly report & Monthly quantitative & Qualitative report, Monthly Narrative Report.

·         Reporting – Career counselor will report to Program coordinator in the Project.

Education Qualification:  

Graduate: Psychology, PG: Master’s in Psychology.

·         Should be open to field visits both within and outside the city

·         Must be able to work independently and as part of a team; and with all levels of staff, volunteers and within the school authorizes.

·         Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

·         Outgoing and convincing

·         Ability to learn about, commit to, and educate others on program mission and goals.

·         Excellent communication skills and ability to work in high pressure with deep knowledge in career counseling domain

Experience/ Commencement:

2-3 years minimum proven record; immediate joining. Candidate should be willing to travel across Mumbai & other Magic bus locations as per the project need.

Salary to be offered is 27000K per month gross. Travel and mobile over and above
