· Build strong relationships with employers and education institutions/colleges ensuring effective referral, placement and monitoring systems are in place for youth.
· Support youth during their self-development and skills training ensuring trainees are placed in positive outcomes and placements are successful.
· Support youth to achieve the skills training, mentoring and employer activities outlined in their individual Personal Development Plans.
· Deliver a sharp focus on achieving successful youth placements in work, training or further education and supporting youth to sustain these for 1 year.
· Effectively utilize and leverage partnerships at all levels
· Arrange job fair / placement drives / campus recruitment youth as well as market need
· Carry out 24 hour training module (covering industry overview, mock interview, other soft skills training) as per mandated curriculum
· Monitor youth’s performance and retention with employers.
· Support youth after their placements to ensure that they retain their engagement and sustain themselves in work or education placements for up to 1 year.
· Should have experience of handling placements in colleges and mobilising youth from colleges
· Have handled bulk placements and should be efficient in handling big numbers
· Act as a role model at all times demonstrating behaviour that displays the characteristics youth should develop to be successful in their chosen field.
· Ability to build positive relationships with youth and motivate individuals to achieve defined targets of taking up work opportunities.
· Excellent team worker with strong oral and written communication skills including good level of professional English.
· Empathy- ability to work with youth
· Well organised working style with excellent time management skills.
· Willingness to work evenings and weekends occasionally as required by programme.
· Ability to collect and process delivery evidence and data in line with key performance indicators for the programme
· Strong negotiator and ability to manage relationships with colleges and employers
· Relevant degree or similar professional qualification from a reputed institution.
· Experience of either employability skills, job placement, youth development or vocational training programmes either directly or indirectly (desirable)
· Experience of reviewing progress against individual’s training programme targets (desirable)
· Experience of engaging with wider stakeholders like placement teams in colleges, students and communities.
· Experience of providing guidance to young people on a range of development issues.
