We are seeking a motivated and experienced Soft Skills Trainer/Career Coach to join our team. The role involves working closely with college students to enhance their soft skills, prepare them for the job market, and provide career guidance for their first job placements. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals reach their full potential, excellent communication skills, and the ability to tailor training programs to meet the needs of diverse student populations.

Role & responsibilities

Design and deliver comprehensive soft skills training programs for college students, focusing on areas such as communication, teamwork, leadership, time management, and emotional intelligence.
Collaborate with college administrators and faculty to identify training needs and develop customized training modules.
Conduct interactive workshops, seminars, and one-on-one coaching sessions to facilitate skill development and confidence building among students.
Organize job readiness sessions to equip students with essential job search skills, including resume writing, interview preparation, and networking strategies.
Provide career counseling and guidance to students, helping them explore career options, set realistic goals, and develop action plans for achieving their career objectives.
Establish and maintain partnerships with employers and industry professionals to facilitate internship opportunities, job placements, and networking opportunities for students.
Stay updated on industry trends, job market demands, and best practices in soft skills training and career development to continuously improve training programs and services.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through student feedback, performance assessments, and outcome measurements, and make necessary adjustments to enhance program quality and impact.

Preferred candidate profile

Master’s degree preferred.
Proven experience as a soft skills trainer, career counselor, or similar role, preferably working with college students.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, faculty, and stakeholders.
Demonstrated understanding of various soft skills such as communication, teamwork, leadership, and emotional intelligence.
Experience in curriculum development and instructional design is a plus.
Familiarity with career assessment tools and resources.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to travel to different college campuses as needed.
