Placement Officer Full Time NEW

Specific tasks and responsibilities
•
Support youth to achieve the skills training, mentoring and employer activities outlined in their individual Personal Development Plans.
•
Deliver a sharp focus on achieving successful youth placements in work, training or further education and supporting youth to sustain these for 1 year.
•
Effectively utilize and leverage partnerships at all levels
•
Arrange job fair / placement drives / campus recruitment youth as well as market need
•
Carry out 24 hour training module (covering industry overview, mock interview, other soft skills training) as per mandated curriculum
•
Monitor youth’s performance and retention with employers.
•
Support youth after their placements to ensure that they retain their engagement and sustain themselves in work or education placements for up to 1 year.
•
Should have experience of handling placements in colleges and mobilising youth from colleges
•
Have handled bulk placements and should be efficient in handling big numbers
•
Act as a role model at all times demonstrating behaviour that displays the characteristics youth should develop to be successful in their chosen field.
Desired Competencies:
•
Ability to build positive relationships with youth and motivate individuals to achieve defined targets of taking up work opportunities.
•
Excellent team worker with strong oral and written communication skills including good level of professional English.
