About the Project
Skills and knowledge continue to be the driving forces of economic growth and social development. India, with its sizable workforce and evolving economic landscape, places a critical emphasis on skill development to sustain long-term growth. The Women Empowerment through Sustainable Skill Development Program in Kalol, Gandhinagar district aims to equip 120 beneficiaries with vocational skills aligned to the new opportunities of the open economy. The project focuses on establishing a center in Kalol , empowering women via targeted skill development training, facilitating certification, placement, and entrepreneurship development support, and tracking post-placement progress. This initiative aligns with the national vision of fostering a robust skilling ecosystem bridging education and employment for inclusive economic participation.
Position Summary:
The Mobilizer will play a critical role in engaging and mobilizing the target community, raising awareness about the program, and facilitating beneficiary enrollment. This position involves direct outreach, counseling, and coordination with local stakeholders to ensure successful program implementation and participation.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct field visits to communities, local bodies, and institutions to mobilize eligible women beneficiaries for the skill development program.
Create awareness about the program benefits, eligibility criteria, and training opportunities.
Counsel and motivate prospective participants and their families to encourage enrollment and sustained participation.
Coordinate with trainers, project staff, and community leaders to align mobilization efforts with program goals.
Organize community meetings, orientation sessions, and follow-up visits to maintain beneficiary engagement.
Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, enrollments, and feedback from beneficiaries.
Support the project team in planning and executing events related to mobilization and awareness campaigns.
Provide regular updates and reports on mobilization progress to the Project Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum educational qualification: 12th pass (Higher Secondary)
1-2 years of experience in community mobilization, outreach, or similar roles.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse community members.
Knowledge of local language and culture.
Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
Desired Skills
Experience working with women’s empowerment or skill development programs is an advantage.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Convincing and motivational abilities.
Contract Duration
The position is for a period of 8 months, with the possibility of extension based on project requirements and performance.
Remuneration
₹16,000 per month
Preference will be given to the local candidate.
